1. Keoladeo National Park
Also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a host of more than 270 bird species. Ornithologists from all over the world visit this world heritage site. In 1971, the Park was declared as a protected Sancturay and large number of tourists is attracted to this. Thousands of birds migrate every year during from nearby countries. The Keoladeo National Park was also declared as the breeding and feeding ground for the birds in the world. The National Park is at a distance of 10.4km from Regenta Resort Bharatpur and takes about 11mins to reach via NH 21.
2. Shri Bankey Bihari Mandir
Shri Bankey Bihari Mandir is situated in the holy city of Vrindavan, Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. The temple is a hindu temple and is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It was constructed in 1864. The image of Lord Krishna in the temple is in the Tribhanga posture. The temple is at a distance of 12.3 km from Regenta Resort, Bharatpur and takes 22mins to reach.
3. Lohagarh Fort
Situated in Bharatpur, Lohagarh Fort was constructed by Maharaja Suraj Mal. It is one of the finest architecture of Rajasthan. Being one of the strongest castle every made in history, British rulers were never able to conquer it and was thus, named as Iron Fort or Lohagarh Fort. It is a house to various armours and weapons and witnesses a statement to courage and chivalry of Jat rulers of Bharatpur. The fort is located at a distance of 5.2km from Regenta Resort Bharatpur and takes about 13 mins to reach.
4. Deeg Palace
Known for its beautiful architecture, Deeg Palace is a blend of Mughal and Rajasthan architectures. Constructed in 1730, Deeg Palace was a capital of Jat rulers under Badan Singh. Since, it was close to Agra so Deeg Palace was under constant threat by the Mughal rulers. In order to protect the palace, the Prince Surajmal built a large fort around the Deeg Palace.
5. Government Museum
Constructed in 1944, the museum is located in the heart of Lohagarh fort. It is a major attraction of Bharatpur and comprises of miniature paintings on leaves of mica and peepal tree. The museum houses various metallic objects, coins, stone sculptures, inscriptions and miniature paintings. It takes 15mins to reach the museum from Regenta Resort, Bharatpur.
